ABOUT

Tiger Claw was not always Tiger Claw. He was born, and adopted, as Daniel Long, in 1962, who then changed his name to Dan LaFever, after his birth mother's maiden name, when both adopted parents had passed, in 1989 and 1995, respectively. He was aware of his adoptive past, throughout his upbringing. He continually searches for his birth mother to this day.

Born & raised in SF's Sunset District, Claw attended St. Gabriel's School, then St. Ignatius College Preparatory.

He has worked in various management positions in the restaurant and movie theater sector, (early 80's & mid-90's, respectively), all the while working in the administrative sector for various corporate firms, in various industries, in downtown SF, during the daytime, rising to the ranks of office management, all the while working part-time in the entertainment industry during the latter half of the 80's (radio, concert, promotion).

He currently holds the full-time position of Office Manager by day, at a global financial services firm, in downtown San Francisco (2003-present).

He continues to compete as a professional air guitarist, known as Claw, after winning several prestigious awards, including his own trading card as part of the first class of the US Air Guitar Hall-Of-Fame, in 2010, which you can view in the Awards section of the Gallery. You can also view his air guitar history, timeline and performance testimonials by online & print media.
